I walked into a the MAC at in Macy's in Delaware's Christiana Mall. I wanted a product that I've used before and know it very well.

I approached the Mac rep and told her I wanted the product and told her I didn't want a specific type of product. She went on with a very know it all attitude, very hyper, and over the top fake, raised tone of voice. Explained that it didn't matter what the product stated it was all the same color bottom line. I felt she didn't want to sell me anything and basically had the attitude if you don't like what I have to say oh well..

She seemed to care less about listening to what I had to say. I knew once she saw my appearance she automatically thought she could say whatever she could and I wouldn't know the difference. So she thought. Yes she discriminated against me because she didn't think a person that looked like me could ever know about make up.

I knew I wasn't going to get anywhere with her and simply told her thank you and left. I instead walked over to Nordstorm Mac and had a totally different experience. I asked for the product and the rep took her time to swatch the product on me. And she definitely said the product is not all same, there's definitely a difference.

I walked back to the Macys Mac and as soon as she saw me she was extremely dismissive and put on the same pretentious attitude. Her facial reaction was so obvious although she was very surprised to see me again. She reacted I thought I got rid of her.. I explained and showed her that there was a difference in the product and that I had to go Nordstorms Mac to get proper service.

She was extremely defensive and dismissive once again never apologitic at all, she tried to back her story by saying oh no what I said is that all the products have different undertones. Which was a total lie. She knew I called her out on what she did and tried to change what she had said and done. She told me why didn't I tell her I used the product.

I told her because you automatically ASSUMED I didn't know and I couldnt get a word in. Why would I feel the need to have to go to another store for the same product. She didn't want to acknowledge what she did and said at all. She then at the end accused me of attacking her to try to get rid of me and avoid the incident.

At no time did I attack her for the record. At that Mac counter there is only one worker and there's no one supervising the worker. I did call back the same day and reported the incident and filed a formal complaint on line. Mac is a company I know embraces cultural diveristy.

I know for a fact if I looked like her it would've been a totally different situation which is unfortunate and shouldnt have happen to begin with. The worker at the Mac counter in Delaware's Christian mall absolutely doesn't come close to understanding others who don't look like her. I know this will happen again if she stays there. She shouldn't be in that line of work.

I had to report this because not everyone that she has done or who will be her next victim will report it they will simply NOT shop there anymore. The incident happened 11/15/17 at 5pm at Macys Mac in Delaware.

I hope MAC will look into this and keep an eye on her if they don't let her go. Thanks.

Reason of review: Poor customer service.
